The Assistance For Monitoring and Management Plan Implementation (AMMPI) grant is focused on providing funding to farmers to assist in the implementation of BMPs outlined in Management Practice Plans (MPPs) for growers who opted for the Track 2 AG Order R4-2023-0353 compliance pathway.
----> Click Here to Apply! <----Any Management Practices outlined in Management Practice Plans created for the purpose of contributing to Track 2 AG Order R4-2023-0353 compliance qualifies for grant funding through the AMMPI grant. The MPP could be created by VCRCD directly, or through a variety of Qualified Equivalent Expert (QEE) contractors.
The figure to the right demonstrates the prioritization map used to visualize the stream reach the project area will benefit.
This map takes into account a variety of watershed details including groundwater basins, sub watersheds, greater watershed boundaries, streams, rivers and more.
These management practices are aimed at reducing nutrient loads entering the local watershed and reducing the transmission of soil particulates through the reduction of erosion on the farm.
If you do not have a Management Practice Plan (MPP) already created for your farm, our AMPP grant may be of interest to you! This grant allows VCRCD to create MPPs for farmers or subsidize the creation of MPPs created by independent contractors.
