Ventura County Resource Conservation District is excited to welcome 3 new team members!

VCRCD’s Restoration team was joined by 13 dedicated volunteers to enhance a registered overwintering site recognized by Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation.

While year-round fan favorites for Ventura County like avocados, strawberries, and lemons are still available, try out some April-specific produce the next time you’re at the grocery store or farmers’ market!

On March 5th, we held our second and final field day for our SLEWS program. 13 of the 16 OPHS students return to the restoration site to check plant progress, weed, and monitor monarch eggs and caterpillars.
