RESOURCE CONSERVATION TECHNICIAN – AGRICULTURE
VCRCD is seeking a versatile and mission-driven conservation professional to fill the position of Resource Conservation Technician-Agriculture with an emphasis on Water Resources, particularly water quality. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of agronomy, environmental science, and stewardship practices. Candidates must be willing to work across VCRCD programs, such as soil & climate resilience, wildlife habitat, and fire preparedness, take on new challenges, and possess the communication skills needed for a public presence. The Resource Conservation Technician will be responsible for helping VCRCD meet current grant requirements and assisting in the pursuit of new grant opportunities. The Resource Conservation Technician is expected to pursue VCRCD’s strategic priorities in a manner that reflects the culture and values of the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history addressing environmental stewardship challenges in diverse agricultural production systems. Candidates must be able to work across VCRCD strategic priorities, such as soil & climate resilience, wildlife habitat, and water resources, take on new challenges and opportunities, and possess the communication skills needed for a public presence. The Agricultural Environmental Systems Specialist will be responsible for helping VCRCD meet current grant requirements and assisting in the pursuit of new grant opportunities.
